POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Maintenance Crew Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week) and weekends when needed (1 position available)
Compensation: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience + Health Insurance
Maintenance crew member
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week) and weekends when needed (3 Positions available)
Compensation: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience + Health Insurance
The Maintenance Supervisor performs essential day-to-day maintenance services and oversees and coordinates all field operations within the Barrio Logan Maintenance Assessment District (MAD), including supervising, delegating, and directing daily responsibilities of Maintenance Crew Members. This role is responsible for documenting and reporting all daily activities, service logs, and field conditions to the Executive Director. The Supervisor ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality maintenance services while also supporting broader Barrio Logan Association initiatives, including economic development, district branding, and community engagement efforts when needed.
Maintenance Crew Members perform essential day-to-day maintenance services that contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the Barrio Logan Maintenance Assessment District. This role also supports community-based initiatives, including district branding, economic development activities, and special events.

A. Maintenance Operations

Beautification and placemaking initiatives
Supervise and direct daily activities of Maintenance Crew Members

Perform and ensure timely completion of:

Remove graffiti upon discovery
-
Clean, maintain, and empty public trash receptacles
-
Perform litter abatement and bulky item removal
-
Conduct weed abatement and landscaping maintenance
-
Perform pressure washing in high-traffic areas
-
Maintain service coverage of all designated areas of the Barrio Logan Association Maintenance Assessment District Boundaries.

Complete daily service logs accurately
-
Report hazards and maintenance issues promptly
-
Operate equipment safely and responsibly
-
Report Hazardous waste and large bulky items to “Get it Done App”
-
Report Encampments and encroachments to “Get IT Done App”
-
Oversee maintenance across the boundaries of the Barrio Logan Maintenance Assessment District
-
Maintain, review, and document daily service logs and reports
B. Leadership & Administration
-
Train, schedule, and supervise crew members
-
Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols
-
Coordinate workflow and maintain efficiency across service areas

Serve as liaison between field staff and Association leadership
C. Community & District Support
-
Support Barrio Logan Association initiatives related to:

Economic development efforts
-
Assist with community events, activations, and programs, including occasional weekend support

Provide on-the-ground support for district improvements and special projects

B. Team & Operational Support

Follow direction from the Maintenance Supervisor

Work collaboratively with team members to meet service standards

Maintain a professional and respectful presence in the community
C. Community & District Support
Assist with Barrio Logan Association initiatives, including:

Economic development activities
-
District branding and identity efforts
-
Beautification and neighborhood improvement projects
-
Support community events and activations, including occasional weekend work
-
Assist with special projects that enhance the district’s visibility and vibrancy
Qualifications
-
Experience in maintenance, landscaping, or related work preferred with knowledge of tool
-
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors
-
Valid California driver’s license
-
Strong reliability, work ethic, and teamwork skills
-
Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent performance
