The Barrio Logan Association hosts official district events that celebrate the community’s rich culture. Each event is designed to enhance district identity, preserve heritage, and support the long-term sustainability of the neighborhood.
EVERY 2nd SATURDAY OF THE MONTH
BARRIO ART CRAWL
The Barrio Art Crawl is a free, guided art and cultural tour of Barrio Logan held on the second Saturday of every month. Visitors can explore open art studios and meet the artists, attend gallery and shop openings, and discover rotating exhibits at local museums and creative spaces. Along the way, you’ll experience the neighborhood’s vibrant street life; Catch Lowriders cruising the streets, DJs spinning on the sidewalks, and the bold public murals that color nearly every corner. The crawl also offers a taste of Barrio Logan’s culinary scene, local shopping, and cultural gems, making it a full sensory celebration of the community’s creativity, heritage, and spirit.

BARRIO LOGAN SCIENCE & ART EXPO
The Barrio Logan Science & Art Expo is an inclusive and annual art, science, and culture fair that welcomes families from around southern San Diego. Join the Barrio Logan Association, UC San Diego, and various community partners as we highlight science, art and culture in the world around us! Some demonstrations have included lowriders, bikes, skateboards, MAD Science, music and more! For questions, concerns, or to volunteer, please contact us using the contact/registration page.

CHICANO PARK DAY (SPONSOR)
The Barrio Logan Association is an official sponsor of the Annual Commemoration of Chicano Park. Chicano Park Day is an annual celebration of the Chicano park takeover and remembrance of the fight to secure the land for the preservation of the community.

SABOR DEL BARRIO
Sabor Del Barrio is the Annual Neighborhood Taste of Barrio Logan which place in the Barrio Logan Cultural District. Sabor Del Barrio is a showcase of over 35 local establishments ranging from restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, breweries, distilleries, food trucks, as well as a designated street food vendor area and lowrider showcase for attendees to experience the uniquely chicano culinary art and rich culture the community of Barrio Logan has to offer. Additionally, ticket holders will also have access to local art and cultural spaces.​​​​

CHICANO SKATE PARK DAY
Chicano Skate Park Day is a celebration of the Chicano Park Skate Park Designation and to promote positive narratives around skate culture in Barrio Logan and educating
our youth on the importance of taking ownership and pride in our park and public spaces and inspiring an active, health conscious lifestyle. During the vent, there is a skate contest, Live DJs, Live interactive art, and merchandise and skateboard giveaways to the youth.

BARRIO LOGAN SNOW DAY
Barrio Logan Snow Day is a free, family, community event held in the Barrio Logan Cultural District. With over 10tons of real snow, pictures with Santa, Toy giveaways in partnership with other community organizations, free kids crafts, and free pan dulce and Champurrado, the community can experience a winter wonderland and welcome the holiday season with their neighbors.

SONIDOS DEL BARRIO
Presented by San Diego Foundation
Sonidos Del Barrio is a free, family-friendly, three-part concert series at Cesar Chavez Park celebrating music, wellness, and community connection.
This vibrant event will feature live entertainment at the park, a DJ set at the end of the pier overlooking San Diego Bay and cityscape, local art and vendors, wellness activities like yoga and sound bowl healing, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for families to enjoy together. Most importantly, we are working to make this event as accessible and inclusive.
